LPGA or Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is an association that supports women golfers around the world. The
Ladies Professional Golf Association was established in 1950. The LPGA owes its long and distinguished history to the hard work and dedication of 13 very special women. Alice Bauer, Patty Berg, Bettye Danoff, Helen Dettweiler, Marlene Bauer Hagge, Helen Hicks,
Opal Hill, Betty Jameson, Sally Sessions, Marilynn Smith, Shirley Spork, Louise Suggs and Babe Zaharias are the founding members of the LPGA.
These women were dedicated to golf as a game and career. They dedicated themselves to the
golf sport and the LPGA. Their coming tournament this February is the Women's World Cup of Golf to be held at George, South Africa on the 11th to the 13th with a $1,000,000 winning prize and at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay Oahu, Hawaii on February 24-26 also with a $1,000,000 prize.
I wonder if they can hold golf tournaments in the
culture lover's dream, Malta, next time.
