A golf game can be considered both as a leisure sport and a competitive sport.
Golf game can be played either individually or as a team sport. However, even if golf game is played as a team sport, the players still cannot conveniently apply team strategies similar to other team sports such as
athletic basketball games or football games. The team players still need to take turns in playing instead of playing collectively. The most distinguishing aspect of a golf game over other sports is its requirement of a very large playing area. Ironically, golf games use small balls, but require land areas that are measured not in terms of square meter but in acres.
This created the impression that golf games and golf clubs are very exclusive for those who have the money such as business tycoons and
international investors. Indeed, golf clubs are the favorite hangouts of corporate CEOs, political figures, foreign dignitaries, and other economically affluent and socially influential people. The high membership fee of golf clubs makes it virtually impossible for the majority of the working class citizens to become members.
