Temperatures rising and the game's flaming for the John Deere Classic PGA Tour. While others shrug it off like John Senden, who's on top of his league, Michelle Wie stopped and whined because of the heat, falling short for her second round. Can she beat the heat or she's just playing a little too lousy on the grounds? Other players didn't really mind, after all they can't hide from the sun. They might as well sweat it like a pig. There are 18 holes of tracks for the green, all pros running for the $4 million goal. Whether it's a hole in one or a birdie on a roll, what's important is to top them all.

The actual course of competition for the golf elites is a swirl and curl of hill and holes, making it a tough green for their hole, but at least the view will comfort you while you swing it like a champ and walk through the fields of vistas. A miss is as good as a mile for the 7,080 yards to test drive the skills for a pro golf challenge. The landscape is also gilded with tree-lined fairways, the scene of Rock River, and the ups and lows of the grass fields. You'll never really know how your ball will trudge the greens. It's a roller coaster ride.

Native Americans first invaded this majestic fields. It provided a home full of nature's peaceful freedom and bountiful life. The view and atmosphere is restored to give a touch of tranquility and splendid scenery where you'll still be able to catch a glimpse of the deer, birds and other wildlife animals. Years ago it may have been home to native Americans, but now that it has been converted to a golf field, it's home to golf champs and breathtaking spins of competition, with golf stars on the swing of their career.

I have into golf for about a decade now because I firmly believe it is really the best relaxing sport. Bragging aside, spending a lot of money playing in the grandest golf courses does not matter much to me. What counts a lot is the fulfillment that I get when I play golf.
The most unforgettable golf stints that I have had was at France. You see, it was not just a mere golf tournament, but a unique wine experience. There are various prestigious golf courses and the choice is yours to make. Luxurious and discount hotels complement these golf courses. After a few rounds of golf, the Bordeaux Wine and Golf Experience took me to wine vineyards with free tasting.
I must say that this great tasting wine is perhaps the finest wine in this region. The owners have painstakingly worked hard to perfect the tastes of their wines to suit varied sensitive wine palates. This golf experience is indeed one of its kind that until now the memories are still vivid in my mind. Given the chance, I would definitely indulge into this kind of golf encounter. Plus, you get to see the many sights and sounds that this place brags about. It is like having the best of everything in this world. Golf, wine, fun, and a whole lot more.

PGA TOUR is the name of not just the main professional golfing tournament in the US for men, but the organization that operates it as well. There are different tours run by PGA Tour: PGA TOUR, Champions Tour, and Nationwide Tour. There is also the Q-School, the yearly qualifying tournament which has six rounds and is conducted each fall. Players who fall under top 30 will get the chance to play the PGA Tour next year. Those on the upper level will get the chance to take part in the National Tour.
During the the year's end, the first 125 PGA Tour money-winners will get a card for next season. This card exempts them from being qualified for most tournaments next year. In some events called invitationals, only the 70 top golf players will get the exemption. Players who fall between the top 126 to 150 gets a conditional card that grants them priority to some places not taken by players with full tour cards.
The PGA TOUR is not only limited to men, women can also play. In 2003, Suzy Whaley and Annika Sörenstam played in the PGA TOUR. Michelle Wie played for three consecutive years; from 2004 to 2006. The PGA TOUR is known for giving proceeds to local charities of the cities where the tournament is held.

Golf has become a very popular outdoor sport in the whole world today. Others even call it a fantasy sport because it seems that only the rich and the famous have the chance to play it. Well, kind of. If you have what it takes to play it then do so. Otherwise, just fancy on the sport being beamed on your television screen.
The Tahoe Celebrity Golf Week on July 11-16, 2006 features the 17th Annual American Century Championship. Others dub it the Celebrity Sports' Super Bowl. It is going to be exciting and exciting as various celebrities will showcase their prowess in playing golf. Apart from harnessing their craft, golf enthusiasts, celebrities and professionals alike, play golf to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Do you ever wonder where celebrity players go after the exhausting stints on the said golf tournament? More often than not, they find solace and entertainment at Harrah's and Harvey’s Casino Resorts. These resorts have many facilities like bars, restaurants, and music lounges that will surely make your stay pleasurable. Other perks and allowances of the championship include taking pictures, signing autographs, games, and so much more.

Unlike major league baseball or foot ball games, golf tournaments seldom create national stir. Golf tournaments are more sober events. Golf is unlike any other ball games considering the large land area requirement for it to be played. Golf courses, measuring in acres, are usually prime real estate properties. Admittedly, golf tournaments are not as popular as other ball games. However, the crowd that is attracted by golf tournaments belongs to the upper and influential class of society such as politicians, celebrities, and business executives. A golf tournament usually has an ambience of a picnic than a real competition.
The Masters Golf Tournament is played every year at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. This tournament was founded by Bobby Jones and is the most prestigious golf tournament in the U.S. Golf tournaments, such as the Masters Golf Tournament, attract professional golf players around the world. These tournaments are usually sponsored by corporations and other organizations. Taking bets is also part of golf tournaments. The bets may range from hundred thousand dollars to million dollars. Golf tournaments may also be done for a certain charitable cause.

Just like any other major events, golf tournaments need careful and advanced planning. Since the typical audience for these kinds of events is high-end society, you have to be detailed and organized with regards to the venue and schedule.
The theme or the cause of why there is a tournament must be established in the first place. This will then determine who you get as sponsors and target audience, as well as the on-course golfing events that will keep the golfers motivated to play and the additional activities that the audience will get to participate in.
Of course, the budget is an essential component that is why you have to book golf courses in advance, at least one year ahead. Hiring a good tournament director to oversee all the operations is also a key to having a successful golf tournament.

LPGA or Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is an association that supports women golfers around the world. The Ladies Professional Golf Association was established in 1950. The LPGA owes its long and distinguished history to the hard work and dedication of 13 very special women. Alice Bauer, Patty Berg, Bettye Danoff, Helen Dettweiler, Marlene Bauer Hagge, Helen Hicks,
Opal Hill, Betty Jameson, Sally Sessions, Marilynn Smith, Shirley Spork, Louise Suggs and Babe Zaharias are the founding members of the LPGA.
These women were dedicated to golf as a game and career. They dedicated themselves to the golf sport and the LPGA. Their coming tournament this February is the Women's World Cup of Golf to be held at George, South Africa on the 11th to the 13th with a $1,000,000 winning prize and at the SBS Open at Turtle Bay Oahu, Hawaii on February 24-26 also with a $1,000,000 prize.
I wonder if they can hold golf tournaments in the culture lover's dream, Malta, next time.

After the defection of Tiger Woods, the so-called Big Four has a new identity. With Woods gone, a new player was added to the mix. Recently, Retief Goosen, the South American for U.S. Open Champion is now part of this club. After a great year overshadowed by Tiger's dominance, Goosen got the distinction he really deserves. Another part of this group is Ernie Els, who suffered a major setback this year. However, it was reported that he is physically ready to take back his position in the world rankings. Also, Phil Mickeson, after winning this year's PGA Championship should be a contender in any tournament. He did have a great season, but was outperformed by Woods in Doral. Finally, the man named Vijay Singh who was once the number one player in the absence of Woods is the leader of this pack. All of these players boost a mind boggling resume to overcome Tiger. However, it has remained unseen and doing it will be tougher than expected.

Every once in a while, we hear about this celebrity golf tournament, that celebrity golf tournament being held in this or that golf course. So what if the "stars" are going to play a little golf, right? I want to see real golfers play, not some Hollywood big shot.
Like them or not, celebrity golf tournaments have been around and will continue to be around as long as there are celebrities who can play golf. Sure, their handicaps might go into the double-digits, but there's no mistaking that they can really draw a crowd, and for golf courses, golf equipment manufacturers and the celebrity's managers, it's just good business all around.
And for one good thing about celebrity golf tournaments, they often benefit some good cause and charity. That fact alone makes them worth your while.

The Masters Golf Tournament is counted among golf's four majors, the four biggest and most prestigious tournaments held in a given year. The best of the best compete against each other in this tournament for the right, not to a trophy, but to wear a green jacket.
But this jacket isn't just to keep you warm, but it symbolizes the winner of the tournament's entry into the very exclusive Augusta National Golf Club. It's a point of pride for the golfers to be able to wear this seemingly simple jacket.
This was a tradition for the tournament that was started way back in 1949, and has been the dream and aspiration of every golfer with the skill and ambition to play professionally.
