I'm not talking about mowing your golf course or whatever. I'm talking about preserving and maintaining clubs. Kidding aside, it's obvious they cost a hefty sum, especially if they're branded and customized. The newer models with shafts of graphite are even more expensive. I think that aside from worrying how we look on the golf course with our Nike shoes and preppy polo shirts, we might as well worry about the abuse our clubs get whenever we swing them. I'm not saying you have to replace your clubs (only if they're really old), but proper club care can improve your club's purpose and ultimately, your game. Hey, it's also a neat money-saving trick.
I had an avid golfer for a father, and the first things he taught me was how to take care of my clubs. First, I inspect club heads after every game. This gives me the opportunity to detect cracks as early as possible. Shafts also need to be inspected for any breakage. These can be replaced in golf shops for a small fee. If there are no damages, I soak my clubs in warm soapy water to loosen dirt. Giving them a good wipe while soaking is likewise a good idea. I make sure to get all the grooves. There are commercial club cleaners available at most stores but this is much inexpensive. Be certain to dry the clubs after soaking and wipe out all soap residue. I make certain to clean grips as well because oils from the hands can loosen grips quickly. In the case of loose grips, I have them replaced. WD-40 wiped on club grips and heads makes the metal moisture-proof. Lastly, clean your golf bags. It's no use cleaning clubs when you store them in dirty bags.

When I am asked for a perfect venue to play my ultimate favorite sport, I usually promote California's Palm Spring, since it is a known golf location. This is because of its state of the art features for an excellent golfing experience.
Considered as one of the most popular golf destination in California, Palm Spring has breathtaking mountain views. Plus, it's weather is perfect for a golf player's game play and vacation experience. The said place has numerous excellent golf resorts. Incidentally, one of my favorite clubs is Escena Golf Club. Escena was the first golf club ever built in Palm Springs for almost 20 years. It offers a Nicklaus designed championship public golf course, wherein clubhouses were seen adjoined. Set within a magnificent mountain site, Escena's 72 course has an extensive fairway that is designed with various native trees. Furthermore, the said course has fine greens that is particularly designed for all golfers. In addition, Escena's course is within a 172 acres of land that is accentuated with streams and lakes.
And again I will reiterate, if you asked me for a perfect golf vacation, Palm Spring's Escena Golf Club is what I will definitely answer.

The first time I bought golf clubs, I did not follow the myth that says that buying the most expensive clubs would render better golfing results. I consider everything that needed to be kept in mind when I buy my golf club. I'm no Tiger Woods, but I think I have a good idea what kind of golf club would best suit me.
Just the other day, I went window shopping for a new club when I saw this so-called Cleveland CG4 Tour Irons. So I immediately flocked over this new toy with the excitement the likes of a ten-year old boy discovering the latest console game. The guy in the shop said that this Cleveland uses the newest innovations of metal technology. The Cleveland has the CMM or Carbon Metal Matrix that are permeated to the metal for a decreased density of an estimated 10%. With this new advancement, the user can feel less vibration and impacts are relatively soft.
This CG4 Tour has a thinner topline which attracts the experienced golfers. The clubs boast a compact head for doubled workability as opposed to the original CG4 Irons. With the Cleveland's excellent design, you will get to play like a real 'Tour' player. This iron set caters to a wide scale of players, so this one would definitely get a thumbs up.

"If I choose to buy the most expensive club, will I get a high score, too?" Actually, whether you choose those cheaper clubs, or you pick the most expensive set, for as long as you get the best club for you, you'll win the game. There are several models in the store, and each has different features for every golfer.
When buying your clubs, always consider to choose the value. Especially if you're a beginner, you have to benefit from picking the right clubs. Determine your needs for a club. Since golf will demand your effort, get the best clubs in the store. And if you're a woman, you can think about Adams Idea a2 OS 12-piece set for an option.
This set is specially made for women golfers. It's a seamless group of woods, irons, and hybrids; and made into one perfect set. All clubs were made to match each lady's hand. They are easy to hit, so you don't really need to pull extra efforts to beat the course. Its powerful features will help you play with full confidence. But remember that it's the style and determination of the player that makes him/her win the game.

Golf is indisputably the best relaxing outdoor sports. I must admit that I play golf to have a source of relaxation. It is like hitting two birds with one stone, that is relaxation and sport at the same time. That is why modern golf promotion, clubs, and courses are sprawling and growing everywhere. These are intricately designed to match varied discriminating tastes.
Northern Europe's Latvia followed suit with its Ozo Golf Club. This golf course is considered as the first in Latvia and this region that is truly equipped with advanced technology. This course actually amazed me when I played there during my visit to this country. The nature-inspired ambiance of the golf course is good for our physical health.
With its 18 holes and 6400 meters distance, this course's variety will definitely attract and surprise every golf enthusiast. This golf club also boasts of other facilities that include a wide range for driving pleasure and adorned with putting and chipping greens. Bloom, a popular and frequented restaurant in the club caters not only to golfers, but to food lovers as well. The club also features locker and dressing room, pool, sauna, and other facilities. The various awards received by the club attested to its superb quality as far as golfing is concerned.

A golf game can be considered both as a leisure sport and a competitive sport. Golf game can be played either individually or as a team sport. However, even if golf game is played as a team sport, the players still cannot conveniently apply team strategies similar to other team sports such as athletic basketball games or football games. The team players still need to take turns in playing instead of playing collectively. The most distinguishing aspect of a golf game over other sports is its requirement of a very large playing area. Ironically, golf games use small balls, but require land areas that are measured not in terms of square meter but in acres.
This created the impression that golf games and golf clubs are very exclusive for those who have the money such as business tycoons and international investors. Indeed, golf clubs are the favorite hangouts of corporate CEOs, political figures, foreign dignitaries, and other economically affluent and socially influential people. The high membership fee of golf clubs makes it virtually impossible for the majority of the working class citizens to become members.

Golf clubs are the main equipment when playing golf. Just think, how else can you make your golf ball go into the hole? Golf clubs are very essential. That's why you have to buy golf clubs that are top quality. You don't need to buy too expensive golf clubs. You just have to choose the golf clubs that are known for good quality and good materials. I have an uncle who bought the 12-set golf clubs because they were cheap. To his dismay, they weren't really sturdy. So, I suggest that you spend to save money.
The Pinemeadow golf clubs are one of the few golf clubs that I know of which offers good quality golf clubs. The products aside, Pinemeadow offers good warranty services too. This is one feature that I like most about Pinemeadow. When you purchase their golf clubs, you instantly get a one-year warranty for any damages or imperfections of their golf clubs. You'll also get a 30-day "satisfaction guarantee". You'll get to try out their golf clubs within 30 days of purchase. So that, if you don't like the performance, you can just take them back. But, I doubt it if that happens. If you're nowhere near a Pineadow golf shop, you can have them shipped directly to your house. The shipping price would range from $150 dollars and above. If you want those customized clubs for a perfect fit, Pinemeadow will custom-fit the golf clubs for you. So, if I were you, I'd try out the Pinemeadow golf clubs. They're sturdy, they have good quality, and you're guaranteed warranty services. They're absolutely good investments!

Have you ever wondered how golf clubs seem to work for the golfers' different body types? By this, I mean their heights, their body structure, and even their weights. Golf clubs are all made to be the same. Like any other sport which uses equipments, golf has a constant equipment requirement. But, if you're not so tall but your golf club is, let's say too long for your grip, how can you play your best game?
Golf clubs have standard sizes. But, you can always have them customized for your comfortability. You would have improved golf games if you have the right-sized golf clubs. You can just ask your golf club manufacturer if they would customize your golf clubs for you. The first thing to look into when customizing your golf clubs is your gender. It all depends on the gender for an accurate fitting scale. They would also look into your height in your stockings or stock. For height measurements, they would measure the distance from your wrist where it bends to the floor without your shoes. They would have to ask for your age and how fast you swing a golf club. Another very important thing is your golf skill level. They would have to know if you have a basic skill level or on advanced skill level.
Lastly, they would ask what kind of golf club you use when you're at the 150 yard marker. There are still many things to consider when customizing your golf clubs. I suggest you bring it to the custom shop yourself for a perfect measurement. This would actually save you the time and most importantly, you would practically save money. Why? Well, you wouldn't have to replace those standard golf clubs every now and then to get that perfect swing now, won't you?

Golf is one of the coolest sports nowadays. If you're looking for the perfect golf clubs, then you should be able to know its types. There are different kinds of golf clubs for the different kinds of strokes, swings, and shots. Basically, there's a standard set of golf clubs. There are the three-woods. These are the 1, 3, and 5 driver. There are also the eight irons. They are composed of the 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and the PW. Lastly, there's the putter. So, there are 12 clubs all in all.
The golfers are allowed 14 clubs in their bags. So, many golfers add one iron club and one wooden club. This enables the golfers to have more club options for a better play. To put things into basic perspective, let's talk about the most common golf club, the putter. The putter has an ultimate purpose, to get that golf ball in the hole. After using all the other golf clubs to get that ball swinging through the air, you'll need to put that ball in the hole now, don't you?
So, the putter is the golf club for that sole purpose. On the green, the putter is the only club to be used. It has many kinds. There's the short, the belly, the long putter, the bent, the center-hosel, the heel-toe, the mallet, and many more. It all depends on the distance, the swing, and the putt. So, if you're starting to complete your golf bags with those golf clubs, start with the putter. You can quickly avail of any putter you want. Just browse the internet for a quick and efficient "putter" information.

It is inevitable for some golfers, especially those new in this great and exciting sport, to neglect changing their golf club grips. However, this neglect could affect their game in the long run, so it is advisable to build the habit of changing club grips. I came across an article that features a way that is fairly easy and something you could on it own your own.
First, put the club in a work bench vice with the grip exposed, then cut it from its shaft until the end with a sharp knife. Remove the grip then use a brush or solvent to clean the club shaft. Dry it afterwards, then cover the whole shaft with double sided tape and pour the solvent. Slip the grip towards the club head and detach the club from the bench vice. As you let the grips dry, make the adjustments with regards to the club. This is a simple habit that can also save you trouble, not to mention money.

The usual areas to look for in a fit golf club are the torque and shaft flex. For new golf clubs, however, there is another important aspect to consider during fitting, and that is the club head.
The choice of a club head is actually dependent on the golfer's preference, or his or her requirement in playing the sport. The head options may include perimeter-weighted, offset, cavity-backed or blade. Thick top or thin lines are also looked into for golf club heads. Golfers must know that each of these alternatives have different features and vary in performance, so they have to decide on what might be most useful and beneficial to them during tournaments both short-term and in the long run.

This is one golf club that is sure to divide opinions about it into two camps: They either love it or hate it. It's because the Heavy Putter is just like what its name implies: It IS heavy, about twice the weight of normal putter clubs, which might put off some people. But for other people, especially those who are quite competitive in this sport this heavy headed club is just what they need.
Designed to put stability in your stroke, the Heavy Putter is great for those who find trouble with short putts and it provides a great pendulum stroke, making putts easier, although some find making long putts with the Heavy Putter difficult to control.
There is a slight complaint about the club's sightlines, and many feel that a better, more visual one would make the club a more favorable putter for them.

Despite its somewhat comical appearance, this golf putter is dead serious when it comes to the business of putting. The Frankly Frog Putter gets its name from the shape and appearance of the head: It resembles the face of a frog.
The aluminum head is weighed down by two tungsten inserts that make up the "eyes" of the frog. The all-aluminum head makes for a crisper feel when hitting the ball, so those who prefer their putters with a softer feel should be wary when trying out this one.
With its whimsical design and crisp putting feel, the Frankly Frog Putter ought to make your game if not better, at the very least a bit more fun.

For years, the Callaway Big Bertha has been used almost exclusively by male golfers to add a little oomph to their game. The sheer size of the club and its fanciful name made the use of the Big Bertha the province of male players for years.
But now, as many more female golfers begin to take up clubs and play just as competitively as the men, Callaway has realized that women can benefit from using the Big Bertha, and that a buck was to be made by making one exclusively for their use as well.
The Callaway Big Bertha 454 Titanium Driver is designed with the female player in mind, from its more conservative shape to its thinner titanium shell and specially-designed graphite shaft adjusted to the swing of most women.

Nike may be relatively new to the golfing game, but if their line of golf clubs is to be an indicator of their future path in this industry, they're definitely on the right track.
The Nike Oz Blue Chip Putter is a face-balanced oversized mallet that was designed by golf club whiz Tom Stites and features a lower center of gravity in the club head that diminishes the initial skidding that can make a golf ball move off-course.
The Blue Chip part of the name comes from the bright blue insert in the club face made of aluminum and is 65% lighter and 73% softer than steel. The Oz putter is a visually-striking design, unlike anything else on the putter market today. Users report the Oz putter as having a very good feel and an excellent putter for use on the green.

In times past, a forged iron was the province of the better player, and would never be used by a high handicap or mid-handicapped player. These players would be told to use cast irons instead.
But today, that distinction is now becoming less clear and these irons are a good example why. The Alpha C1 Forged Iron is a club that can be used by most players, regardless of handicap. These tastefully designed clubs are a wonder to use and definitely feel great, having a large sweet spot that translates to longer travel and better forgiveness in play. Although the better player might find it a bit difficult adjusting to the forgiveness factor of the Alpha C1 Forged Iron, those with higher handicaps will enjoy playing this iron.

The things to look for in a wedge in golf are versatility, softness of feel and forgiveness. All these play a factor in whether or not your shot gets the ball out of the sand, rough or up that hill. The newest offering from Cobra Golf offers these qualities in two types of clubs, the Mid-Sole C wedges and the Wide-Sole C wedges.
These slightly oversized heads are made from 431 stainless steel and are designed with greater forgiveness, softer feel and versatility for the Mid-Sole C wedge and higher bounces and even greater forgiveness for the Wide-Sole C wedge. The club heads also feature a vibration-dampening urethane insert for greater comfort and control.

Hippo Golf has recently unleashed a brand new line of putters on the golfing green. This series, named "Beast" includes a total of 5 putters of different styles and construction. From sleek blade-like designs to the massive, mallet-shaped behemoths, there is a putter style for everyone in this line.
These Beasts feature Hippo's Polystromic insert technology, which is intended to soften the feel of the putt without sacrificing feedback, thus offering the golfer more control over their putt. The Beast putters are also designed to maximize inertia and minimize off-center hits.
The Hippo Golf Beast putters are expected to retail at $99.99 each, including their respective head covers.

It's an ongoing debate in the golf world: Which material is better for golf club shafts? Steel or graphite?
Each has its pros and cons, with steel being the more durable, less expensive option to the lighter, less vibration-prone graphite shafts. But steel readily transfers the force of a swing (good or bad) to the bones, joints and nerves of a golfer, which may be bad news for the older, senior golfer. But graphite, while lighter and less likely to transfer force, is more expensive and quality is not as consistent as steel.
As a result, steel is recommended for the younger, more economical golfer who can take the strain and weight of a steel golf cub. A senior, older golfer will appreciate the light weight and handling characteristics of a graphite club.

If you're new to golf, it's a good idea to use an older set of used golf clubs rather than buy a brand new set of them. That way, if you do decide that golf is not your sport, you won't regret plunking down such a sizable amount of cash.
Getting used clubs is also a good idea for those on a budget or those who only play golf occasionally. Going to yard or garage sales will often yield a set of clubs for sale. Just keep in mind to check your purchases carefully.
When you buy a used golf club, check out the whole item. Pay particular attention to the head; a worn down one is no good. Then check the shaft; it should be free of large cracks or dents. Finally, check the grip. Worn-down or cracking grips are no good to you, and replacing them will set you back a sawbuck or more.
Don't forget to check the whole set. A mix-and-match set won't do you any favors, as different brands have different feels. Consistency is key in many sports, and golf is no exception.
Of course, don't forget to compare prices of old clubs to new ones. If you don't you might get the raw end of the deal.
Most people usually just throw away old clubs, unaware that their trash just might be another's treasure. Or at least somebody's practice set.

As part of knowing about the world of golf, we must now familiarize ourselves with their weapons of choice: Golf clubs.
Driver - This is the one used at the beginning of a hole. It can hit the ball and make it travel a long distance, but with typically lower height than other types of clubs.
Iron – Often made of metal, the iron is more likely to lift the ball rather than throw it over a distance. The height of the lift this club generates is dependent on the type of club it is, usually designated by a number. The higher the number, the higher the ball goes.
Putter – Is usually used to finish a hole, as it will strike a ball so that it will travel flatly, rolling towards the hole.
Wood – Can be very confusing; newer ones are not made of wood at all. Used in the same manner as an iron, but with more distance and less control.
No one club can perform all the necessary tasks on the golf course. That's why they are all carried in a bag all at the same time.
