Playing golf is not as simple as it looks. You will need some training and a long line of experience.
How to stay on focus when playing golf
See how Tiger makes a shot and keeps it steady even under the heat of the scorching sun and the pressure from the audience? Like all golfers, they maintain their focus on the game and never get distracted. Each and everyone has their own style on how to stay focused but one thing is common among all them, and that is to think golf! You can try telling yourself a sentence or a word to keep you in focus and never let that word slide. This is what you’ll need to stay focused and think of only one thing and that is golf.
How golfers stay fit
You look at the game of golf and see its effects on the human body and you may say it’s just a non-athletic sport but you could be wrong. Playing golf requires stamina and a lot of it since you need to finish 18 holes every round for several days until the tournament is finished. So how do you stay fit? You can stay fit by doing cardiovascular exercises regularly and warming before and after every game. A swing could make you pay if you didn’t warm up well.
Keep your heart in the game
Try to stay focused on every game and keep only one thing in mind and that is golf.

Michelle Wie started playing golf at the age of 4. At the tender age of 10, she was the youngest golfer to qualify for the Women's U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. This record was only recently broken by Allisen Corpuz, who is just five months younger than Wie.
Wie-nning her first pro golf tournament
After years of playing as an amateur golfer, Wie finally won something that can make her career more established. At the LPGA's Lorena Ochoa Invitational held in Guadalajara, Mexico, Wie won her first LGPA tournament. What makes this achievement more notable is that during the fall and winter, she is actually a full-time, achiever student at Stanford University.
What critics and fans have to say about Wie's golf career
Despite this achievement, Wie's career as a golfer is already plagued with controversies and complaints from people who think her reputation was a result of too much hype and commercial sponsorships. Prior to this first-ever win, Wie was accused of faking a wrist injury to avoid playing golf for a certain season. Some also claimed that Michelle Wie has been wearing inappropriate golfing outfits during her recent games. However, Wie was able to silent her critics when she won the LPGA Tour held in Mexico's Gudalajara.
Whatever critics say about Michelle Wie, this Korean wonder is sure to attract more fans in the coming years. Because of her passion, dedication, and golfing prowess, we can expect more from Michelle Wie as she conquers the greens. And despite being a full-time student at Stanford, it looks like Wie is definitely here to stay as a pro golfer.

Is golf the new home wrecker? Apart from Alice, John's voluptuous secretary, his wife would always flare up whenever she hears about golf! And every weekend, John would come up with silly excuses just to go play with his golf buddies. Now that's berserk!
I first thought that the golf-nagging of John's wife was an isolated case. I just thought of her as having a serious case of low self-esteem. The hell she's thinking to even feel insecure about golf?! But in a drinking spree, my drunk-ass friends blurted out the same conclusion about their wives and golf. So I thought what is about women and golf?
I found this funny story from the net and let share it with you. A married man had sex with his secretary. It was so good, so wild that he fell asleep past his curfew. He woke up rushing on to his clothes and asked his secretary to rub his shoes on dirt and grass. Somewhat surprised, the secretary obliged. The man with his grubby shoes came home to his suspicious wife. "Where the hell have you been?!", his wife yelled. The man explained, "My secretary and I had sex." After seeing his shoes, the wife said, "Liar! You were out playing golf again!"
Now that's a hoot! I told my wife about these silly fools and the funny story, and this is what she one thing to say. As always, women goes through great ordeal just to uncover what their husbands feel , what they think. It has so much to do with women's desire to please and to be cherished. When their husbands come home exhausted and seemingly distant, they wonder what is going on. Now no man would go talk to his wife all about golf while he resigns to quiet solitude. That what makes women flare up. The distant and silent confinement after golf.
Either that's crazy or just the painful truth. But next to watching football, playing golf has caused quite a stir to women's inquisitive theories. If I were you, let your husbands play. After all, golf clears up the clog off our bugged-up minds.

If there's one reputation I hold dearly about golf is that it's a mental game. You see, physically, I don't have much to offer, but mentally, well that's a different story. I can make women laugh, and I can also make them cry. Because I have the wit and charms of a genius, I can make simple things escalate to greater heights, that of imagination and focus. That's why I'm a successful investment broker myself.
There are lots of tricks in golf. It may be formidable, challenging, or frustrating but I haven't known any golfer going for the putt with a hasty swing. If in basketball, you hurl the ball for the last attempt in the fleeting seconds, in golf, you buy time to decide. Golf is also physical, but the power comes from inner concentration and mental focus. The power from within is unleashed in every swing.
My success in the corporate world is parallel to my triumph as a golfer. There are points of views and angles. There are tricks and the simple ways. But your decision details the outcome of the game plan. For instance, if there are distractions everywhere, would you be conscious of fault or would you be conscious of strength? I've mastered to be my own will. The people around me? I don't see them as distractions but spectators for victory and admirers of challenging defeat.
There are times when you don't always get the game and times when you conquer speed and distance. Either ways your mind decides which will be the better option. So you see, every detail is a thrill. The mind and body moves as one soul. I'm not a fortune teller but if there's one thing I know, a golfer always sees beyond the fields, beyond the putt, into his dreams.

They say golf is a mere sports ornament. A perfect status symbol for executives and fatheads garbed in expensive sports attires. It is a non-contact sport that would even relieve you of walking around the fields and carrying your own clubs.
Not all golfers are brains without brawn. To sling that shot like Tiger Woods, you will have to take into account a serious amount of power and flexibility. And to pull it off, you must be fit not only with muscle but with strength and good body coordination.
A neophyte would easily assume that golf is all about no-sweat arm swing and no-brainer hitting the ball with your club. I pity such moron with this kind of perception loosely based on what is shown on TV. But to shed light to a gloomy and inept notion, golfers like Tiger Woods work with their torso, wrist, shoulders, and hips while they muster enough power for club velocity while maintaining a balance.
This golf Tiger can hit a ball in 180 miles per hour, compared to the 160 of an average golfer. His concentrated force fuels up the speed and momentum, finishing off with a smooth and long club-head twist. So next time you think that golf is for the weak, I suggest you get a golf ball so you would know it's heavier than you think. Serious mental and physical stamina drive these golfers to place the ball right in the hole.

Where would you rather shoot your balls? Which hole? Would you let it roll on a grassy outskirts or up into the air in loops?
I usually hang out with Gerry and Simon. They're brothers who are both dynamic but very different. The younger Gerry is somewhat stern, mature, and sensible while Simon is easy-going and packs a lot of energy. Gerry works for an accounting firm while Simon works as an art director. They're inseparable after their work but during weekends, they go their separate ways. They don't share the same sports interest. It has been the battle of the ages for these two silly fools, more like a sibling rivalry actually. They are debating which between basketball and golf is a better sport.
Simon would always insist that basketball is a game of stamina. A game for men unleashing their virile energies. For Simon, golf is boring, as boring as the personality of the golf players. He says that it's like playing chess when you can have XBox 360 games. On the other hand, Gerry often quips with a counter strike. He says that basketball is sweaty, and it is the game of men who doesn't have the mental power but all the brawns alone. And the endless rumbling will follow. As always, I'm stuck in the middle.
For me, golf and basketball are virtues in their own right. Golf exudes more of the mental focus and agility while basketball with dynamic physical coordination and team play. Nonetheless, both are symbols of character.
Successful, mature, and smart are the attached impressions when you play golf. Strong, passionate, and interesting, are how most women see basketball players. Simon is like Superman while Gerry is Clark Kent. Superman drives women crazy but Clark Kent gets Lois. So who's the chick magnet between the two? Neither! I always get the girl!

In sports, anything can happen. You win some, you lose some. As a famous saying in basketball, the game is far from over until the last buzzer sounds. But for a man who have dreamt, believed and failed to win an US Open trophy, how do you will he able to get back from a very disappointing loss? Days ago, we were shocked of the results of the recently-concluded US Open tournament. Geoff Ogilvy, who was running third won the event and became the first Australian golfer to capture the elusive trophy since Davis Graham in 1981. Phil Mickelson, who was leading and who was expected to win remained shocked of what happened last Sunday. In an interview, he even called himself idiot.
According to him, it hurts because all the while he thought that it had the win in his grasp already only to let go of it because of that one critical shot. But US Open is done already and there's no doubt that Geoff Ogilvy had won. What Mickelson can do now is to accept the fact and focus on the next golf tournaments. This disappointing loss may have teach him a lesson that a game ain't over till its over.

Two Filipinas are known today in the field of golf, Dorothy Delasin and Jennifer Rosales. Dorothy is a daughter of a Filipino couple living in Daly City. She won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2000 when was only 19. She also captured the LPGA Giant Eagle Classic for two consecutive years, in 2000 and 2001. As an amateur, Delasin was named by the California Golf Writers Association as Amateur Golfer of the Year. Born in Lubbock, Texas, this magnificent lady golfer is set to compete in the this year's US Open from June 29-July 2.
On the other hand, Jennifer Rosales who was born in Manila is a product of the University of Southern California. She started playing golf when she only 12. She considers her parents as the most influential people in her career. Jenny also loves shopping, watching movies and also playing with her dogs. Back in the Philippines, Jenny was a five-time champion of the Philippine Ladies Amateur Open from 1994 to 1998. As a competitor on the USC women's golf team, Jenny won the NCAA individual championships as a freshman in 1998. She also won the Golf World Invitational. I am very sure that Filipinos are very much honored with these two women because of what they have achieved in the field of golf.

I have a friend who is really a golfaholic. At first, I was not really interested in golf. I just developed interest in the sport when he invited me to spend with some time him on his birthday, together with other peers, playing golf in a beautiful golf country club. Since then, I realized that golf could be a lot of fun and truly, a relaxing outdoor sport.
If you want to bolster your knowledge and become more acquainted with the sport, here are some strategies that could lead you to that. First, following the principle 'learning by doing', so you have to visit a nearby golf practice center, perhaps, and begin practicing. Ask a chum or relative that knows the game to come with you so that you will be guided along the way. You can also attend a golf tutorial or instructional clinic if there's one available in your place.
Another way is to read books and magazines about golf. You can pick up a lot of ideas about the sport. You can also watch how golf is played on television. Moreover, you can browse the internet and search for different golf topics and articles.

Last night, I dreamed that I was in a golf tournament together with Tiger Woods, Dinah Shore, and other golf pros in a fancy golf ensemble. They were watching me as I swung my arms to drive the golf ball accurately off the peg where it sits. When I hit it, they were stunned because it landed perfectly on the green. Right now, I am starting to learn the do's and dont's of golf. Before, I thought it is very easy; you just hit the golf ball and that's it. It's not that easy, though! The first time I sent the golf ball flying, it landed on the bushes.
I hired a golf instructor to teach me basic lessons about the proper golf swing. I am really learning a lot from her advice and expertise. He made me understand the physics behind golf strokes and swings and how important they are in relation to what spot the golf ball ultimately lands. He also taught me what types of golf club would suit me, particularly those that address my height, size, physical limitations, strengths, and swing.
In addition, I am trying to practice a lot of hours during weekends at the hitting range. As one saying reiterates, practice makes perfect. Hopefully, later on, I would improve and maybe outdo my instructor and perfectly get to drive the golf ball into the hole.

Since I love playing golf and I crazed on almost everything about that sport, I would read anything that tells what's the latest news and updates in the golf sport world. Speaking of reading and since I am a book lover myself, I know a lot of golf magazines that answer all my golf queries and quenches my thirst for more info regarding golf.
Among the coolest magazines I have read is the Australian Golf Magazine. It is a must-have golf magazine for golf-addicts like me, and it would surely interest others since it is considered as one of Australia's leading sporting publication. Now that Australia has a large number of golf players that approximately reaches to one million players, the said magazine covers a lot of Australia's best golfers. When you go over the pages, golf fans will also catch up with the latest news and features in international golfing. There are articles for the game guides , players' profiles, tournament updates, tips and instructions from beginner to expert level , reviews of golf clubs, and golfing equipment. The magazine's regular contributors are among Australia's finest golf players like Sergio Garcia and Aaron Baddeley.

I have seen quite a few golfers throw a fit in the golf course. I must say, they did not turn out well. Well, we really cannot deny the fact that golf is an extreme sport. It may not look like it, but, the concentration and the focus of the players really go into their swings. It would not turn out well if the golfers breathe down each others' necks. There are certain guidelines that golfers should follow while playing on the golf course to avoid stressful situations.
Golf is for the mind; it's for people with a lot of patience, and it's also for a great healthy exercise. So, what should you do when you find yourself in an exasperating golf course situation? Well, the first thing to remember is that, you should not be in that exasperating situation, anyway. What you need to do to stay on top of your game and away from another golfer's hot head is to follow some simple, but useful guidelines. You should always be aware of your surroundings. Who's dumb enough to hit a putt when there are people around, anyway? If you made an unexpectedly long shot, you have to announce or yell "Fore!".
If you hear another golfer yell the same thing, protect yourself or cover up. Some golfers still do this, they hit a putt when a group of golfers are still playing ahead. Never do that if you do not want to be rude and if you do not want to hit other people. So, just follow these simple and basic guidelines and you''' have a relaxing tee time ahead of you.

Sports is one of the most popular ways of recreation and relaxation to many people. Problems whether personal or societal are causing too much headache to every individual. Engaging in a sport is a great diversion in order to temporarily forget these problems of life. Further, it will make you healthy inside and out. It could also serve as an exercise. There are many sports that you can practice and make it a hobby. One of such is golf.
This could be played in a competition or just for recreation. For a beginner, it is very important to familiarize the right movements, various kinds of shot, which clubs to use and the perfect outfit. Tips about these concerns could be given by professional golfers. But just like any other sport, golf also has rules that every player must follow. When you are already in a golf course, do not approach or talk to the person who is about to make a move to avoid being hit with a golf club. Second, when your turn has come, do not make a hit unless your front is clear. Wait until the people have cleared the area in front of you. Third, be at the golf course early in order to have a chance to warm up before you start playing. These are just few of the numerous golf rules that every player must follow.

In golf, you have to know the basic rules to be able to successfully play this wonderful game. In this game, there are no referees or umpires to observe your game. So, it all relies on the players to have discipline and knowledge on the game's rules. This also goes for simple tee times in golf. You have to be proper and respectful of the game's basic rules.
The first thing that you should take into consideration is your equipments. You should take with you the right equipments because it's not acceptable if you borrow equipments from other golfers. Usually, there are 14 clubs in golf bags. Borrowing may sometimes be permissible but, it's not actually a good idea. When you plan a tee time, say, the next day, you have to make tee time reservations the day before. Or, it's better if you give a two-day in advance notice. This shows that you respect your golf course club's rules and regulations.
You should also inform your golf course the estimates of your golf rounds. That way, they can also arrange the schedule of the other golfers. Lastly, you should always dress the part of a golfer. It's not that you can't golf without wearing the proper golf outfit. You just have to follow the golf course's dress code. If you're a disciplined golfer, then you're sure to possess a good self-management skill.

Brunei is one of the fastest growing countries nowadays. We all know Brunei because of its royal family. This country is rich in oil and it is no wonder that it's royal family is one of the richest. Prince Bolkiah is among the richest man in the world.
For these reasons, I know you won't be surprised to know that they have their own 18-hole golf course right at their bakcyard. The royal family, or at least its men, love golf. They have trainors and greenkeepers employed from different parts of the world at their beck and call. With their tight schedule, the members of the family usually play at night with the whole golf course lughted up for the sports leisure.
Kings, presidents and several important personalities have played with the princes. The golf course is only for hteir exclusive use. Yearly, the rich royal family hold golf tournaments with exclusive invites from different golf stars of the word.
For real, being a prince of the Kingdom of Brunei will really make your golf life end in happily ever after. Dream on, golf fan!

The basic laws of Newtonian physics can be best demonstrated in ball games such as basketball and soccer. Momentum, velocity, trajectory, gravitation, inertia, mass, force, and kinetic energy are all important parameters of all ball games. Mastering these parameters will give players great advantage. Basic Newtonian physics is very important in playing golf. For instance, the angular force of every swing determines the distance that can be covered by the golf ball. The dimpled design of the golf balls, on the other hand, is intended to reduce friction and air resistance. The different shapes of the golf clubs are purposely designed to direct the golf balls into the most suitable angle of trajectory. The body posture of the player also contributes to the total inertia and momentum of every swing.
Indeed, golf is a physics game. Playing golf is governed by the laws of physics similar to the way physics governs the melody produced by strumming guitar strings. Like guitar virtuosos, outstanding golf players, such as Tiger Woods, are masters of the basic Newtonian physics. Master golf players have the mathematical instincts in automatically calculating forces, velocities, friction, and inertia of the golf balls they hit. However, Newtonian physics is an idealized and simplified model of a golf game. Real world is more complicated and unpredictable. Even the most skillful golf players cannot possibly control all the parameters involved in the game.

Hey, hey, hey! Want to play golf minus the golf course fees and the pressure of the professional game? Well, try to play miniature golf. I'm sure there's one near your home. It's relaxing and hassle-free.
Miniature golf is like playing golf but you only get one club for all those shots. In real golf, you get different clubs for different shots, plus you need a caddy to help you carry your bag. You play miniature golf in, well, a place really smaller than a golf course. Miniature golf courses have different obstacles such as clowns, castles and almost everything the miniature golf course designer decides. Unlike in big golf courses, you get trees, water, and sand. Miniature golf will cure all your boring golf problems.
Playing this game will help you relax and enjoy the game. You can play it with your kids, too. You and your young man will have a blast. Laugh at the different obstacles, eat hotdogs while you're at it. Do not be pressured, no one is watching, well, at least, nobody that good.
Playing miniature golf won't make you one of the Masters but at least you can practice your strategic skills while having a fun, comedic time.

Golf game is perhaps the only sport that uses the smallest ball in proportion to the playing field. Golf is more intricate than all other individual or outdoor team sports. The sophistication of the clubs used in golf is almost as sophisticated as the tools used by a surgeon. Golf, in some sense, is similar to billiards. The big difference, aside from the size of the playing field is the number of balls that is used. Golf, similar to billiards, has the simple objective of shooting a ball into holes using an instrument. The sophistication of golf is not limited to its clubs, but more so in its players. Golf is the favorite game of corporate CEO and other big wigs of society.
The game of golf is generally regarded to have originated from Scotland. The game was particularly mentioned in two 15th century Scottish laws. However, other similar games were developed independently in different European countries. During the 17th century, golf was also independently developed in the Netherlands. The game that was developed in the Netherlands closely resembled modern-day golf. Another primitive form of golf was the use of a stick with a boxed attachment in hitting stones was developed in Italy.

Golf is an outdoor sport which needs total concentration and focus. Golfers use total mind tools for this game. They calculate their swings as well as their drives. So, have you ever wondered how they do these things in the golf courses with so many spectators? If you're a golfer yourself, you must observe good golf etiquette. Is there such a thing? Well, all sports have their own rules to follow. Golf requires basic etiquette, but they're very crucial for the golfer.
The first thing to observe when playing golf is to make sure that you steer clear from people. Never take a swing when people or even the golf caddy is nearby. The ball isn't the only thing that flies through the air when you swing your club. The grass, the soil, and everything else attached to the ground flies with your golf ball. You wouldn't want to hit anyone with those would you now? The next thing to keep in mind is to have a constant pace. This is important when you're playing with a group. Having a maintained pace would keep your head on the game. It's very annoying when you're playing with someone who takes years before taking a swing. If you don't want to wait for others for the longest time, don't make them wait for you. Another thing is that you should always respect the course. Never act as if you own the place, park your cart where it's required to be parked. If you don't have a caddy with you, don't just leave your golf clubs lying around. Be responsible for your own things. Lastly, respect other golfers by keeping shush. Don't talk when it's their turn to putt. Taking swings need concentration and critical thinking, don't ruin it for them. If you abide by all these rules, then you're a certified happy golfer!

In golf, the attire is very important. Golf is a formal and intellectual outdoor sport. Many spectators watch golf games, even amateur ones. So if you're a golfer, you have to be dressed for the game. The golf attire is not just for fashion's sake, of course. Remember, golf is an extremely outdoor sport, so the weather condition is also a big factor for such attire choices.
In buying your golf attire, you should start from the feet up. The golf shoes and socks are the most essential apparel. You'll be playing on acres of grass courses, so you better have the right shoes. You should also have outfits for the different kinds of weather conditions. If it's too sunny, then put on something that won't make you sweat buckets. On sunny days, you should wear polarized sunglasses to protect your eyes and your game. You can also wear a sun visor for added shade. In golf, it is also required that you wear a collared shirt. Collared shirts look more professional and they're really what golfers wear. Don't ever wear heavy outfit or layered clothing. This would really affect your swing and your comfortability. In cold weathers, you can put on golf slacks or long-sleeved collared shirts. For warm weathers, you can don on short khaki shorts and light short-sleeved collared shirts. For rainy conditions, you can always use those water-proof shoes and jackets.

Golf is considered to be the sports of the elite because of the expensive clothing, equipments and golf course membership.
Nowadays, this notion is slowly being changed. There are now golf clubs that offer entrance or membership at reasonable prices. People can now enjoy playing golf without worrying about money. If lucky enough, some can have a game with some famous personalities.
Golf is slowly reaching out to the ordinary people. Usually, old couples love this sport because it's not as physically straining and is fun to do. Some people also love golf because it is played under the bright, warm sun. Of course, caddies love golf because they get huge tips from golfers if they help them well.
There are also places where people can practice their swings for a cheap fee. This is a good pastime for people and will help them train and practice their golf moves.
And have you noticed? People with different nationalities are slowly making their way into golf stardom? This means there will be an increase of fans around the world.
Slowly but surely, golf is opening its arms to more and more people. Next thing we know, people will be lining up to get tickets.

This is one training aid that can really put you in the swing of things. The 8Board is a sport training aid for golf that helps you maintain balance and helps you perfect your form as you swing your golf club.
It consists of two rotating discs for your feet, one after the other, forming an 8, hence the name. You place your feet on these discs, and you attempt to keep your balance as you try and hit the ball while on the 8Board. The more you can balance yourself on the board as you swing, the better you can transfer energy and power to the club as you swing it, resulting in a better game.

Golfers can be really grimfaced and solemn when it comes to hitting that ball. Sometimes they goof around, too, and that’s perfectly OK. Like, maybe putting that golf ball in their mouth. What they have to remember, though, is that the green, green course, which their golf balls have been in contact with, is full of pesticides especially the popularly used chlorothalonil.
True, the pesticides keep the fairways clean and smooth and trouble-free, but they can pose serious health hazards, besides being harmful to nature’s birds and butterflies. Fairways don’t have to be toxic to be perfect. Golfers and park superintendents can reach a compromise on how to manage and maintain the course. Natural pesticide is a good alternative. And anyway, it’s not like a little dandelion can cramp up your style.

Golfers who are serious about improving their drive will want to purchase a Digital 7x Golf Scope quickly. But whatever brand you choose, a digital scope is a necessity in the modern game. It used to be that golfers judge wind speed by picking up a handful of grass and dropping it to see how the wind carries--they still do. It used to be that golfers rely on experience and familiarity with a golf course to determine with any accuracy just how far the hole is. Familiarity with the course and experience are still important elements in the overall game of golf, but drives in particular are tricky because of the power involved and also about the difficulty of properly measuring long distances. A scope is a perfectly legal golfing accessory, and it will just give you that necessary edge next time you visit the club.
The Digital 7x Golf Scope is extremely portable and is powered by 3V lithium-cell batteries. Yardage figure is instantaneous once you find the flag stick.
